Spectator Healthcare Technology launches project on autism in Morocco

"Spectator Healthcare Technology, worldwide provider of the Telehealth platform and white-labeled BiDiApp, and Mr. Mohamed Moutawakkil of Spectator Morocco launch a project on improving behavioral assessment of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder through enhanced data acquisition.

SBIR enables Spectator to improve the outcomes of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Morocco by providing a multi-disciplinary centred digital solution to handle critical data from non-clinical settings that are currently unavailable to autism treatment providers.

During the 1st phase the joint parties focus on building a dedicated digital coaching platform with autistic trainers, to enhance the access to care as well as quality-of-life for children and their families. Implementation of the Spectator Telehealth solution improves regular communication between care givers and patients, enables access to personalised and evidence-based medical information, a monitoring dashboard with patient’s progress for psychologists, chat, video-teleconsultation and questionnaires connected to intelligent action plans as well as procedures.

There are at least 300 000 autistic children in Morocco and 30 parent’s associations strive to organize the offer of treatments. Only around 400 autistic trainers are available to help the patients and their families, which is a ratio of 1 trainer per 750 children, leaving lots of parents to feel abandoned and desperate.
