EN BREF ...
« Recent estimates predict a more than 10 fold growth in the market for artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging over the next decade, and to date more than 80 algorithms have been cleared by the US FDA for clinical use. Understanding how radiologists are using AI in clinical practice and monitoring these trends over time will be critical to aid the development of AI algorithms that help improve medical care. Ultimately, meeting the clinical needs of radiologists will drive innovation around the AI tools that will provide needed information, can be efficiently implemented into daily workflow, and have the potential to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. Surveys about the use of AI in clinical practice have been mostly about the future uses of AI, with none focusing on the current use of AI in clinical practice, and because none of the published surveys capture the use of AI across all practice settings, longitudinal radiologist centric surveys will be important to determine how AI is being used in clinical practice will be important. » En bref issu de l’étude.
