Every child with cancer to have tumour DNA sequenced to find best treatment

The Children with Cancer UK charity has announced new funding of £1.5 million for the development of the first precision medicine programme for young cancer patients. The sequencing of tumour DNA will be used to identify the most effective and least toxic treatment for each case. Already used in parts of the US and Europe, this procedure is hoped to increase survival rates and reduce treatment side-effects. Lire la suite
